Dettol
Dettol is leading Antiseptic Liquid in India from Reckitt Benckiser. Dettol was launched in India in 1933 in the Antiseptic liquid form as a treatment for cuts and wounds. It is also used by people for bathing, mopping, shaving and other secondary purposes. Dettol Antiseptic Liquid has some strong and distinct smell.
The active ingredient in Dettol are chloroxylenol, pine oil, isopropanol, castor oil, soap and water.
Savlon Antiseptic Liquid
Savlon Antiseptic Liquid gently cleanses and helps prevent infection, aiding in the natural healing of minor skin injuries. Savlon Antiseptic Liquid may also be used in bathing or midwifery to help cleanse the skin. It is a product from Johnson & Johnson. This medicine is available as a liquid that is diluted in water before using.
Savlon antiseptic liquid is chlorhexidine gluconate 0.3 % v/v, cetrimide 0.6 % w/v.
Savlon can be used on Minor cuts, abrasions, stings and insect bites.
Suthol Antiseptic Liquid
Suthol is product from G.D. Pharma (makers of Boroline). It was launched in April 2006. Suthol is an antiseptic liquid with soothing sensation and applied on skin in case of irritation due to prickly heat, mosquito bites, after-shave, itches, etc. It is particularly useful in skin problems due to heat such as summer rashes, bumps and prickly heat.
The main active ingredients in Suthol are Cetrimide and Chlorhexidine.
