Habbe Marvareed is an Unani medicine. In Unani, Habb-e, means a pill prepared from the powder of ingredients, some solution and binder. Habb-e-Marwareed is useful in the treatment of leucorrhoea and general debility in females. The chief ingredient of this medicine is Marvareed or pearl (Mytilus margaritiferus).
Marvareed is Habis dam (Haemostatic / stops the bleeding), Qabiz Ama (check the secretion and reduce peristaltic movement), Mujammid (Coagulant), Mufarreh (Refrigerant) and Muqavvi Aaza Raisa (tonic) in action.
Unani System of medicine evolved in Greece and was first introduced to India by the Arabs. It is also called as Greco-Arab medicine, Unani Tibb, Arabian medicine, or Islamic medicine. Hippocrates is known as the father of this system of medicine. The theoretical framework of Unani medicine is based on his teachings.

Ingredients of Habb-e-Marwareed
- Suhaga Biryan (Borax roasted) 60gm
- Mazoo (Quercus infectoria abnormal growth) 60gm
- Kuchla Mudabbar (Strychnos nuxvomica detoxified seed) 60gm
- Mastagi (Pistacia lantiscus gum) 120gm
- Marvareed (Mytilus margaritiferus pearl) 15gm
- Amber (Ambra grasea) 15gm
- Arq Gulab as needed
First the powder of all the ingredients is made. Then solution of Amber (Ambra grasea) in Arq Gulab is made. The powder of other ingredients is mixed in solution and small pills are rolled.

1-2 pill in morning and evening with Arq Amber.

Caution
Habb-e-Marvareed should not be used during pregnancy.
