Thiamin (also known as Vitamin B1), is co-enzyme in several enzymatic reactions. Its deficiency can cause beriberi, headache, tiredness, anorexia, muscle wasting, weight loss, anorexia, short-term memory loss, other mental symptoms. Lack of adequate B1 affects the cardiovascular and nervous systems. Thiamin deficiency can result in a disorder of the central nervous system known as Wernicke’s encephalopathy, characterized by confusion, ataxia and coma. The person who suffers from B1 deficiency has impaired sensory, motor, and reflex functions.
Riboflavin is a water-soluble vitamin of the B group (vitamin B2). It is an essential constituent of all living cells. This B vitamin is required for normal growth and to assist in the synthesis of steroids, red blood cells, and glycogen. It helps to maintain the integrity of mucous membranes, skin, eyes and the nervous system. It supports the activity of antioxidants and is involved in the production of adrenaline by the adrenal glands. It aids the body in absorbing iron. Its deficiency causes dry and cracked skin, sensitivity to bright light, itching, dizziness, insomnia, slow learning, weakness, sore throat, hyperaemia and oedema of the pharyngeal and oral mucous membranes, cheilosis, angular stomatitis, glossitis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, corneal vascularisation and anemia associated with pure red cell hypoplasia of the bone marrow.
Nicotinamide (also known as nicotinic acid amide / niacinamide), is a water-soluble vitamin. Nicotinic acid and its amide nicotinamide are the common forms of the B-vitamin niacin (vitamin B3). It is the functional factor of two important coenzymes which are essential to electron transport and other cellular respiratory reactions. Deficiency of B3 causes pellagra, dizziness, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea, and inflammation of the tongue and gastric mucosa. The neurological symptoms can include fatigue, sleeplessness, depression, memory loss and visual impairment.
Calcium Pantothenate (also known as Pantothenic Acid), is calcium salt of the water-soluble vitamin B5. Vitamin B5 is required in the body for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fatty acids. This vitamin is also involved in the synthesis of cholesterol, lipids, neurotransmitters, steroid hormones, and hemoglobin. Calcium Pantothenate is useful in acne, alopecia, allergies, asthma, aging, burning feet, cholesterol lowering, dandruff, depression, grey hair, improving exercise performance, osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and stress.
Cyanocobalamin, is synthetic form of Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) a water-soluble vitamin. This vitamin is not present in plant source. It cannot be synthesized in the body. B12 is essential for development of healthy blood cells, nerve cells, proteins in the body, metabolism of fats and carbohydrates. Its deficiency causes malabsorption, impairment of transport of the vitamin within the body and impacts nervous systems.
