Giloy or Guduchi is a herb which is astringent, digestive, rejuvenating, alterative, diuretic, adaptogen and anti inflammatory. In Ayurveda it is important constituent of various medicine used to treat skin problems, inflammation, worms, fever, infection, diabetes, the liver problems and weakness.

Effect of giloy on Various organs
Digestive system:
Giloy stimulates digestion and improves appetite. It also cures constipation.
Nervous system:
Giloy strengthens nervous system.
Liver:
Giloy improves the liver function, aids the liver cell regeneration and help to remove toxins. It is used in the treatment of jaundice and other the liver related diseases.
Circulatory system:
Giloy purifies blood, removes toxins, reduces cholesterol and stabilizes blood sugar level.
Immune system:
Giloy helps to boost immunity of the body to fight against various infections.
Using Giloy In Various Diseases
Diabetes:
Take Amla, Giloy, bark of neem, leaves of Coccinia Indica in equal amounts and soak 50 grams of it in half liter of water and boil it till reduces to one fourth. Mix With honey and take thrice a day.
Arsha(Piles):
Take 20 grams mixture of Harad, Giloya and Dhania in equal quantity and boil in 500 ml of water till it reduce it to the 1/4th of initial amount. Take twice a day with jaggery to cure piles.
Jaundice:
Mix 10 ml of giloy juice with 8-10 drops of satyanashi oil. Take twice a day.
Or take giloy stem and grind, mix with punarnava root and make decoction and drink for a few days.
Immunity booster and curing infections:
Take 4-6 inches length giloy and boil in 400 ml of water till it reduces to 100 ml. Drink it thrice a day.
This strengthens immune system and cures various infections like cold, cough, swine flu and fever due to any reason.
