Overview of key ingredients
1- Chandan (Sandal Wood)
It is the main ingredient of this medicine, In Ayurveda, sandal wood is used to treat gastric irritability, dysentery, gonorrhea, urethral, bronchial and skin disorders. In Unani system of medicine the tree is used internally and externally to treat disorders related to heart, brain, the liver, stomach and skin.
2- Salmali (Bombax ceiba)
Commonly know as Semal tree, In Ayurveda it is referred as aphrodisiac, astringent, antidiarrheal, antidysenteric, antimicrobial diuretic, alterative, antipyretic and tonic. It is used in the treatment of asthma, diarrhea, wound, leucorrhoea, anemia, seminal disorders and skin problems.
3- Dalchini (Cinnamon)
Cinnamon or dalchini is pungent, sweet and astringent. It is hot in potency. It increases Pitta but decreases vata and Kapha. It promotes digestion and cures indigestion.
4- Tejpatra (Bay leaf)
Cinnamomum tamala leaves and bark have aromatic, astringent, stimulant and carminative qualities and used in rheumatism, colic, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.
5- Lauha-bhasma
Loha Bhasma is extensively used in Ayurveda. It increases hemoglobin level, gives strength and cures anemia, edema. Iron is tonic that gives vigour and longevity. It is helpful in all sort of diseases.
6- Haldi (Turmeric)
In Rigveda it is described as one that improves body complexion and appetite. In Yajurveda, it is considered blood-purifier. Charak Samhita indicates its use as a laxative and for treating skin diseases.
7- Daruharidra (Berberis aristata)
Daruhaldi is used to treat the liver, ulcers, fever, infection in intestine, inflammation, cuts, wounds, eye and skin diseases, diarrhea, etc.
8- Harad (Terminalia chebula)
The fruits of Hrad tree are antioxidant, carminative, astringent, expectorant, gentle purgative, laxative, antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal.
9- Devdaru (Himalayan Cedar)
Deodar is used in Ayurveda for the treatment of inflammation, paralysis, kidney stones, fevers, external injuries, low appetite, cramps, diabetes, fever, fungus, bacteria, infections, water retention, etc. It has antispasmodic, anti-poison, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Dosage
