Methods of preparation
Take all ingredients of pharmacopoeial quality. Wash and dry the ingredients numbered 5 to 18.
Roast coarsely powdered Samudra Lavana, Sauvarcala Lavana, Saindhava Lavana and Vida individually in a stainless steel pan on low flame till free from moisture, powder separately and pass through sieve number 85.
Powder the ingredients 5 to 18. The powders should completely pass through sieve number 44 and not less than 50 percent through sieve number 85.
Weigh each ingredient separately and mix together. Pass the Churna through sieve number 44 to obtain a homogenous blend and pack in an air-tight container.
Description: Creamish-brown colored, smooth powder with a characteristic odour of Vida Lavana and salty taste.
Storage: Store in a cool place in a tightly closed container, protect from light and moisture.

Caution/Side-Effects of Lavan Bhaskar Churna:
- Higher dose than prescribed may cause stomach irritation and burning sensation.
- Excess of salt vitiates Pitta. It causes thirst and burning sensation.
- Since it contains salts, people with high blood pressure, hyper acidity, and kidney diseases, who are advised restriction on salts should take it cautiously.
