Guduchyadi/ Guluchyadi Kashayam or Kwath is polyherbal Ayurvedic preparation useful in various diseases. It is prepared from five medicinal herbs taken in equal amount. Kashayam/qwath are concentrated decoctions of herbs in water and their water soluble contents are the active ingredients in such medicinal preparation.
Ingredients of Guduchyadi Kashayam
Giloy Tinospora cordifolia, Dhaniya Coriandrum sativum, Neem Azadirachta indica, Rakta chandan Pterocarpus santalinus, Padmaka Prunus cerasoides
Preparation of decoction
The giloy stem, bark of neem, rakta Chandan, dhaniya beej and Padmaka are taken in equal amount. Then these are grinded coarsely (jaukut) to prepare a powder. This is Guduchyadi kwath churna.
1 tola of this powder is taken and boiled in 16 tola water till volume reduces to one-fourth.
This is Guduchyadi kwath / Guluchyadi Kashayam. It should be taken 3-4 times in a day.

- All types of fever
- Repetition of fever after malaria, dengue
- Burning sensation in the body
- Excessive pitta, and problem related to vitiation in Pitta dosha
- Nausea, vomiting
- Low appetite
- Promotes digestion
- Detoxifies body and purifies blood, helps in skin diseases
The Dosage of Guduchyadi Kashayam
Take 15 ml of Guduchyadi Kashayam in 45 ml of lukewarm water, thrice daily before food.
