Baidyanath Liverex Tablets is an Ayurvedic medicine form Shree Baidyanath Ayurved Bhawan for the liver care. It is useful in the treatment of diseases of the liver. It has hepatoprotective (preventing damage to the liver), and cholagogue (stimulates gallbladder contraction to promote bile flow) action. It helps in hyperacidity, and reduces the inflammation. It is a liver Tonic, and helps to improves appetite, digestion, and assimilation.

Ingredients of Baidyanath Liverex Tablets

  1. Mandura Bhasma 15 mg
  2. Shankha Bhasma 5 mg
  3. Shuddha Shilajit 15 mg
  4. Sarpunkha 5 mg
  5. Rohitaka 5 mg
  6. Daruhaldi 5 mg
  7. Bhringraj 5 mg
  8. Punarnava 5 mg
  9. Chirayta 5 mg
  10. Amla 5 mg
  11. Chitraka mula 20 mg
  12. Guggulu 150 mg

Excipients: Starch, Gum acacia, Talcum

Mandura/ Mandoor Bhasma is an iron based preparation. It increases hemoglobin level, and cures anemia. It is used in the treatment of anemia, poor digestion, dyspepsia, jaundice, hepatic, and splenic disorders, and edema. It detoxifies blood. It is a powerful hematinic. Mandura Bhasma is effective in kidney diseases, and presence of albumin in the urine (albuminuria). It has the liver protecting activities, and is useful for treating the liver diseases.

Shilajit is made of decomposed centuries-old plants, and rocks under pressure. In Ayurveda, for medicinal purpose detoxified Shilajit is used which is known as Shuddha Shilajit. It is an adaptogen, and a major Ayurvedic rejuvenation tonic. It improves digestion, and assimilation. In Ayurveda, it is considered a medicine which has the ability to cure every disease. It is a highly condensed minerals, and amino acid. It slows aging, and degeneration. It gives relief in chronic disorders, body pain, and diabetes.

Amla is nutritive tonic of Ayurveda. It is healing, and rejuvenating.

Shankha Bhasma or calcined conch-shell. Chemically it is silicate of magnesia. It has anodyne, carminative, digestive, and astringent properties. In Ayurveda, it is used in the treatment of Shoola (Abdominal colic), hyperacidity, indigestion, ulcerative dyspepsia, and jaundice (Kamala, Kumbha-Kamala). Shankha bhasma is ushna/ hot, laghu/ easy to digest, ruksha/ dry, and teekshna/ sharp. It is also described as Grahani-Roganashak. It acts as deepan, and paachan.

Guggulu It is gum resin of a tree Commiphora mukul, found in arid- subtropical to tropical climate. Guggulu is highly effective in the treatment of Vata-vikar, and inflammatory conditions. The gum resin contains guggul sterons Z, and E, guggul sterols I-V, two diterpenoids- a terpene hydrocarbon named cembreneA, and a diterpene alcohol- mukulol, a-camphrone, and cembrene, long chain aliphatic tetrols- octadecan-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrol, eicosan-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrol, and nonadecan-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrol. Major components from essential oil of gum resin are myrcene, and dimyrcene.

The gum resin is a digestive, anthelmintic, anti-inflammatory, anodyne, antiseptic, demulcent, carminative, emmenagogue, hematinic, diuretic, rejuvenating, and general tonic.

It is effective in reducing synthesis of cholesterol in the liver. It reduces serum triglycerides, LDL (bad) cholesterol, and increases HDL. It can reduce 14-27 percent blood cholesterol, and triglycerides by 22-30 percent. Guggulu increases metabolism of LDL.
