Chitrakadi Ghritam is polyherbal Ayurvedic medicated ghee. Chitrakadi Ghrita is mentioned by Acharya Sushrut in Sushrut Samhita for treating female infertility. In a clinical study, the oral administration of Chitrakadi Ghrita for a few months gave good result in improving conception chances and managaning infertility.
The principal ingredient of this medicated ghee is Chitrak or Plumbago Zeylanicum. Its oral administration improves digestion and cures various types of digestive disorders. It is also useful in Spllenic diseases, gulma, piles, chronic diarrhea, bloating, and low appetite.

Each one 10 gm of Chitraka (Plumbago Zeylanicum Linn.) – root bark ,Shwetha Sariva (Hemidesmus indicus R. Br.) – root ,Bala (Sida Cordifolia Linn) – root, seed ,Nalla Sugandhi (Ichno Carpus frutescens R.) – root ,Draksha (Vitis vinifera Linn.) – Fruit, leaves, Indravaruni/Vishala (Citrullus Coloegnthis stkard) – fruit, root, Pippali (Piper Longun Linn.) – fruit, root , Citraphala – Pedda papara (Trichosanthes brateata) – fruit, root ,Madhuka (Glycyrrhiza glabra Linn.) – Root, Haritaki (Terminalia Chibula Ritz.) – fruit ,Amalaki (Emblica officinalis Gaertn.) – Fruit, Seed, leaves, Root, Bark and flowers, 10.24kg Kshira (milk), 2.56kg Ghrita (ghee) , 640 gm Tavakshira (Curcuma angustifolia Roxb.) Preparation of Chitrakadi Ghrita
Paste prepared of medicinal herbs viz. Chitramula, Sariba, Bala, Kalanusarrikaa, Draksha, Vishala, Pippali,Chitrapala, Yashtimadhu, Haritaki and Amalaki.
2.56kg of ghee, 10.24kg of milk, water 10.24kg was added. Ghee prepared according to Ghrita pak vidhi. The ghee filtered at room temperature. Added 640gm of sugar, 640gm of Tavaaksheeri powder. Mixed thoroughly and stored. The medicated ghee is prepared.

The Dosage of Chitrakadi Ghrita
