Avomine is a medicine to prevent and treat motion sickness, vomiting and treating short term sleep difficulty. Each tablet of Avomine contains Promethazine theoclate (25 mg). Promethazine can also be used to treat sickness, vertigo (loss of balance or dizziness) and problems affecting the ear. Because promethazine causes drowsiness, it is also occasionally used to treat insomnia (difficulty sleeping). This belongs to the group of medicines known as antihistamines.
