Rasa Sindura herbometallic Kupipakva Rasayana prepared by heating Kajjali filled in a glass bottle wrapped with multiple layers of cloth smeared with mud, in a sand bath through Valuka Yantra for the specific time period. Rasa Sindura is indicated in a variety of diseases such as loss of appetite, indigestion and also in chronic ailments such as skin diseases, TB and urinary diseases with disease-specific Anupana.

What is Amlapitta?
Amlapittantak Ras/Yog or Vati is Ayurvedic medicine formulated for treating Amlapitta. Amlapitta in Ayurveda means hyperacidity, a very common condition related to digestive organs. In this condition due to excessive acid production in the stomach the person feels various symptoms such as:

Another similar formulation for Amlapitta is Amlapittantaka Lauha prepared using Rasasindura, copper, and iron, each 1 part, and the pulp of chebulic myrobalans forming 3 parts. These are mixed together. This lauha is licked, with honey added to it to treat sour-bile.

The recommended dose in 250 to 500 mg with honey, milk or water.
