Key Ingredients of Shothari Lauh
This medicine is prepared by mixing 12 grams fine powder of each: Sonth, Pippali, Maricha (Trikatu), Jawakhar (Potassium carbonate) with 48 grams of Lauh bhasma.
Uses of Shothari Lauh
Shothari loh has Haematinic (stimulates the production of red blood cells or increases the amount of haemoglobin in the blood) and Kapha reducing properties. It is indicated in the treatment of dropsy/oedema/swelling (excess of watery fluid collecting in the cavities or tissues), Anemia, Jaundice and Sujak.
This medicine increases haemoglobin level, improves digestive power and assimilation of nutrients.
The Dosage of Shothari Lauh
The recommended dosage of Shothari Lauh is 250-650 mg, twice a day. Or take as directed by a physician.
Take this medicine with Triphala Decoction, This decoction also used as effective mouth wash.
