By X-ray test kidney stones can be detected very easily as well as with the help of urine and blood tests doctors can diagnose kidney stones.

Surgery is not required in all cases of the kidney stones, most of the stones are passes trough by drinking adequate amount of water .
Sometimes doctors are prescribing some medicine to prevent development of stones
