Seafood like fatty fish (salmon, tuna, trout, etc. and shellfish (crab, mussels, oysters, etc. are very good for human health as these are very good source of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. In USA there is moderate evidence that seafood is good for health and It is also mentioned in dietary guideline of USA department of health.
According to guide adult should eat 250 gm or more seafood in week. One should eat variety of seafood as these are great source of omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients.

- DHA and other omega-3 fatty acids play very important role in the brain and eye functioning. These are very useful in the prevention and treatment of brain and eye related problems.
- Omega-3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA are very good to get relief from rheumatoid arthritis. If some one takes Omega-3 fatty acid supplement or eat seafood then he/she can get relief from morning join stiffness, swelling and pain.
