Kumari Asava No. 3 is also known as Kumaryasava no 3. It is a polyherbal classical Ayurvedic formulation referenced from Yog Ratnakar. There are four types of Kumari asava or Kumaryasava viz. No 1, No 2, No 3 and No 4. Each has different ingredients. But main ingredient in all type is Kumari Swaras or Aloe vera juice. Aloe vera juice is known as kumari. Aloe/Gheekumari/Gvarpatha is bitter, astringent, pungent, sweet and cold in potency and works on all body tissues. It has beneficial effects on circulatory, female reproductive, digestive, nervous and excretory system.
Kumaryasava no 3 or Kumari asava No 3 is useful in the treatment of five types of cough, respiratory ailments, 8 types of abdominal diseases, 6 types of piles, neurological diseases, epilepsy, digestive weakness, 8 types of Gulma, absence of menstruation in women, and many more diseases.
This medicine is also given to children for improving digestion and assimilation. It also improves immunity to fight recurrent infections. For infants dose is one drop one to two times a day.

Method of preparation
Take the raw materials of pharmacopoeial quality. Wash, clean and extract juice from the ingredient number 1 of the formulation composition. Wash, dry and powder the ingredient numbered 3 (Kvatha Dravya) of the formulation composition and pass through the sieve number 44 to obtain a coarse powder. Clean, dry and powder the ingredients numbered 7 to 17 (Prakshepa Dravya) of the formulation composition individually and pass through the sieve number 85 to obtain a fine powder. Prepare Bhasma of the ingredients numbered 18 and 19 of the formulation composition. Add the specified amounts of water to the Kvatha Dravya, soak overnight, heat, reduce to one eighth and filter through a muslin cloth to obtain Kvatha. Add the ingredient number 2 of the formulation composition to the Kvatha, allow to dissolve and filter through the muslin cloth in to a clean container. Add Kumari Rasa, Tamra Bhasma, Loha Bhasma, Madhu, Dhataki and other finely powdered Prakshepa Dravyas. Seal the mouth of the container. Shift the container to the fermentation room and constantly check for the signs of completion of the fermentation process. Filter the fermented material through a clean muslin cloth. Pack in airtight containers and allow for maturation.
