Pinda oil is medicated Ayurvedic oil useful in rheumatic disorders. It has anti-inflammatory properties and can also be applied externally on painful swellings, and stiffed joints. This oil is prepared from beewax, manjistha, sarjarasa, sariva and til oil.
Ingredients of Pinda Tailam
Rubia cordifolia, Hemidermus indicus, Resin of Shorea robusta, Oil of Sesamum indicum, Castor oil, Cow ghee, Dhanyamlam.
- In Ayurveda, Til or sesame oil is considered best among all vegetable oils. For the medicinal purpose black til oil is mainly recommended. Good quality sesame oil can be used both internally and externally.
- Sariva root and root-bark are useful in the treatment of broad variety of diseases. Roots are prescribed in loss of appetite, impaired digestion, fever, skin diseases, ulceration, syphilis, rheumatism, gout, leucorrhoea and improving quality and quantity of breast milk.
